DS Card Co. is built by collectors, for collectors. We are a father-and-son team who collect, buy, sell and trade Pokémon cards from across the hobby. We created this free online organiser so collectors can browse cards and sets, record exactly what they own, follow set and Pokédex goals, create lists, share selected information and export their data.

Yes. Creating an account and using the collection tools is free. This includes unlimited collection tracking, variants, custom lists, sharing and exports.

Yes. We are collectors ourselves and we buy, sell, trade and collect Pokémon cards. Current items for sale can be found through our Shop, and you can contact us about buying, selling or trading.

No. DS Card Co. is a fan-made collection-organising project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Game Freak or Wizards of the Coast. Names, artwork and related properties belong to their respective owners.

DS Card Co.'s original branding, logo artwork, written content, graphics, site design and software are protected by copyright and other applicable intellectual-property rights. Core card and set information is gathered from established Pokémon TCG data services and documented data interfaces, including the Pokémon TCG API and TCGdex. Market-reference products and prices come from Cardmarket's published Pokémon product catalogue and daily price guide. Currency conversion uses published European Central Bank exchange-rate data.

We reconcile those records into one catalogue, preserve source identities where possible and use manual review for conflicts, missing releases and unusual printings.

No. Arbitrary marketplace pages and seller descriptions are not treated as the authoritative foundation of the catalogue. Structured APIs, published data feeds and recognised reference sources are preferred, then records are validated and reconciled before publication. A marketplace listing may help investigate an edge case, but it is not enough on its own to establish a variant as fact.

The Pokémon TCG has decades of regional releases, promotional distributions, corrected printings, stamps and products that are documented differently by different sources. New releases can also appear before every detail is available. We would rather mark something as missing or unspecified than invent a value.

Where available, card pages show Cardmarket's EUR market guide converted to GBP using an ECB EUR-to-GBP rate. Lowest, trend and seven-day average figures are market references rather than live offers, valuations or guarantees. Condition, language, timing and individual sellers can produce very different real prices.

A variant is a distinct physical printing of the same card number. The artwork and card identity may be the same while the foil treatment, stamp, edition, distribution method, size or recognised printing detail differs. Variants let you record the actual card in your binder instead of only checking off its name.

• Normal / non-holo: the standard printing without a holographic treatment.
• Holo: a printing with foil artwork or another specified holographic treatment.
• Reverse Holo: a printing where the card background, border or other area receives the foil treatment rather than the usual holo artwork area.

Some eras use specialised foil patterns such as Cosmos Holo or Cracked Ice; these are kept separate when the physical printing is meaningfully distinct.

First Edition identifies a printing carrying the 1st Edition stamp. Shadowless refers to an early English Base Set printing without the later drop shadow around the artwork frame. They are separate collectible printings and should be recorded as the variant visible on the physical card.

Stamped variants carry an event, set, retailer, league or promotional mark. Promotional cards were distributed outside the standard booster-set release, while Staff cards were limited event printings issued for tournament staff. Their exact catalogue label describes the known release or treatment.

A recognised production error and its corrected version can be separate variants when there is reliable evidence for both. Jumbo cards are oversized display versions and are also kept distinct. Tiny manufacturing differences or unsupported seller labels are not automatically treated as catalogue variants.

Do not choose a close-looking variant just to complete the entry. Send us the card details and supporting evidence through Help & Contact Us. We can investigate it without replacing verified catalogue data prematurely.

You can record the variant, quantity, condition, language, whether the card is graded, grading company and grade, notes and whether a copy is available for trade. Conditions follow the familiar Cardmarket scale from Mint through Poor.

The Pokédex view lets you collect one example of every Pokémon, filter by generation and mark species as collecting or completed. You can also choose the exact card printing you own so the goal connects back to your real collection.

Wishlists organise cards you still want. Trade lists organise spare cards you are willing to trade. Lists can remain private or be made public when you choose to share them; making a list public does not expose your complete private account data.

Yes. Collection data can be downloaded as CSV, and a complete account-data export is available as JSON from your profile. This gives you a portable copy rather than locking your records inside the site.
